Frank was born in the wild Everglades of Florida. His parents were new age bohemian flamingos that taught independence from an early age. As soon as Frank could stand on his own one foot, they flew away, leaving him to his own devices. To survive in the wild, he befriended other Florida natives: a manatee, a mockingbird and a panther. The panther was a difficult friendship. Mainly because the first time the panther met Frank he tried to eat him. But they moved past that, and began to roam around looking for food as a group.
That’s when Frank discovered grapefruit and fell in love. These different animals could never agree on food sources (the mockingbird loved bugs, the manatee loved algae, and the panther liked flamingos.) But they all decided that grapefruit was phenomenal. Inspired by the taste, and curious about its properties, Frank set out to study grapefruit. He attended Florida Flamingo University and took courses in biology, biochemistry, physiology and drama – just because. Frank received a Masters degree in biochemistry, and went on to become a grapefruit teacher.
He was "discovered" doing a seminar at a zoo in Florida. He was explaining to a group of capuchin monkeys that 100% pure Florida grapefruit juice is one of the most nutrient dense juices around. A talent scout noticed his good looks and eloquent speech. He signed Frank up to be the official pitchman for Florida grapefruit. Since that fateful day, Frank has graced the pages of many magazines, spreading his pearls of wisdom about his beloved fruit and juice.
